This tutorial series is about to build a robot which can drive autonomously by simply avoiding obstacles. In a first step there is a need for a good base which is able to trive on many different terrain types. My selection fell on the following product.
The SZDoit T200 is available in different china online stores. I ordered mine at Gearbest. You will get a small package with many little pieces for self assembly. The problem was, that the whole documentation was missing. After some research I found an apropirate assembly instruction. You can download it here.
After successful assembly, I recognized, that the technical specification for the dc motor was also missing. This specs are very important when it comes to the choice of the right battery and motor driver. Also in this case, I found the missing documentation after a little research. So, the base is ready now. As a next step there is a need for an appropriate way of finding obstacles in a specific range of the robot.
